Add products

Add a product with its SKU, prices, tax, images and stock, choose the branches that sell it, and decide whether it shows in the POS or on your website.

Products live in Admin Catalogue › Products. Add your categories and brands first so you can pick them on each product.

Add a product

1. Click Add Product.
2. Enter the Name and choose a Brand and Category.
3. Type a SKU, or click Genrate to create one. The SKU is also the barcode, so if the product already has a barcode on its pack, type that number as the SKU.
4. Enter the prices. Fill Cost Before Tax and Cost Tax Rate (%), then Retail Before Tax and Retail Tax Rate (%); EasySell works out the tax and the final cost and retail price. Use Compare Price to show a crossed out old price on your website.
5. Set the Low Stock Point, the quantity at which the product appears on the Low Stock report.
6. Choose the branches that sell it under Assign To Branches.
7. Add a Short Description (up to 300 characters) and a full Description for your website.
8. Upload images one at a time, each up to 1 MB. You can also add a YouTube link.
9. Choose where it appears: Show in POS, Show in Website, Show in Mobile.
10. Keep Active on and save.

Useful options

• Unlimited Stock: for services and made to order items that never run out.
• Has Addon: for restaurant extras such as cheese or sauces.
• Preparation Time: minutes the kitchen needs, shown on online orders.
• Weight and size: used for delivery and shown on the product page.
• Meta Title and Meta Description: the text Google shows for this product. Leave them empty to use the name and description.

Work with many products

• Search with Search by product name or sku.
• Tick products, choose Active, Inactive or Delete under Bulk Action, and click Update.
• Print Barcode prints SKU labels for your shelves and packs.
• To add many products at once, use the Excel importer.
