Connect your own domain

Put your EasySell website on your own domain: save it in Website Settings, add the DNS records from the email, and wait for the secure padlock.

Your website runs on your own domain, such as yourshop.pk. You need to own the domain already; buy it from any domain seller if you have not. EasySell sets up the website and the secure padlock (SSL) for you.

Connect your domain

1. In Website Settings, type your domain in Domain without https:// or www, for example yourshop.pk, and click Submit.
2. Within a few minutes you receive an email titled Connect yourshop.pk to your EasySell website. It lists two or three DNS records, each with a type, name and value.
3. Sign in where you bought the domain and open its DNS settings (sometimes called DNS management or zone editor).
4. Add each record from the email exactly as written: usually an A record for @ and a CNAME record for www. Add a TXT record too if the email lists one.
5. Remove any other A or AAAA record on @, and any other record on www. They would send visitors somewhere else.
6. Wait. Changes usually work within an hour but can take up to 48 hours. Your site then opens on your domain with the padlock, and www.yourshop.pk forwards to yourshop.pk.

Change your domain later

Type the new domain in Website Settings and save. You get a new email with the records for the new domain; your old domain stops working with EasySell.

Website not live after 48 hours?

• Check each record against the email, character by character. A missing dot or an extra space is enough to stop it.
• Make sure your domain is paid and active with the seller. For .pk domains, check its status with PKNIC.
• Click Submit in Website Settings once more to retry, then message support with your domain name.
